Programme "Research-Develop-Innovate" & forDiabetes : 30/11/2020

The research project of the programme "Research - Develop - Innovate" (A cycle) was successfully completed.

The aim of the funded project, entitled: ‘Diabetes Mellitus: development and use of a digital application as a vehicle to manage the disease’ was the development of a software platform for the management of diabetes-related data. It consists of a web app and mobile apps (Android and iOS).

Some of the main features of the application are: collection and analysis of measurements, automated data input from third-party devices (glucose meter devices, blood pressure monitors, etc.) and applications (eg physical activity apps), addition of glucose measurements using Amazon Alexa smart assistant, exporting / sending reports, bolus calculator, detailed reports to save and share with the physician in order for the doctor to monitor the patients' data in real time, track their condition and identify trends, providing by this way more personalized, high added-value services.

The proposal was submitted by ANATS S.A. in cooperation with the company TESSERA MULTIMEDIA S.A that since 1997 is active in the field of new information technologies and deals with the design and development of web applications, mobile applications and multimedia applications.

The programme "Research-Develop-Innovate" is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund under the Operational Program Competitiveness - Entrepreneurship - Innovation (NSRF 2014-2020). It is running under the Operational Programme Competitiveness Entrepreneurship and Innovation (EYDEPAPEK) and the Special Management and Implementation Authority for Research, Technological Development and Innovation Actions by the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs (MIA-RTDI).
