CARE OF THE BATTERY
The lead battery used must be carefully looked after and must not have a charge of lower than 10 V. If the battery becomes completely discharged, it will be permanently damaged and must be replaced. If the suction pump is not used for long periods, it is recommended that the battery is kept constantly charged to prevent damage being caused.
When replacing the battery, ensure that the connections to the board are the right way round. Inverted poles will cause irreparable damage to the battery.
MALFUNCTION OF THE POWER SUPPLY UNIT / BATTERY CHARGER
Model AS300A is supplied with a battery charger to charge back up lead battery which provides a tension of 12 Vdc max. and a current of 0.8 A. The charging process is indicated by a red LED that goes out when the correct tension has been reached and the charger is automatically switched off.
If the red LED does not come on, the battery charger is not working. Do not try to repair it but consult your supplier.
Model AS400A is supplied with a switching type of power supply unit / battery charger. It provides a stabilised output of 14 Vdc – 4.3 A. If the power supply unit does not operate correctly, consult your supplier.
