Lifeguard® filtering masks are disposable masks classified according to filtration levels defined by European standards. Our range offers the user a wide selection of masks, suitable to any kind and concentration of contaminated substances polluting the job area.
Disposable filter folding face mask with valve and carbons, made with different filtering material layers, each one with specific characteristics which create an effective protection barrier.

Inner layer - 125±10g /m2 polypropylene melt-blown filter fibre
Active carbons filter media - 120±10g /m2 polyester filter fibre with active carbons
Outer layer – 48±3g/m2 polypropylene spun-bonded fabric
Manufacturing material and filtering mask components do not contain latex
Mechanic and electrostatic filtration; double adjustable elastic head band (synthetic rubber strap) with four fixing points which ensures an easy wearing and guarantees an optimal airtight; horizontally folded, soft foam nosepiece PU Foam, aluminium adjustable nose clip. Exhalation valve in PP plastic to ensure a regular air flow, heat and moisture reduction inside the filtering face mask as it allows hot and humid air outflow. Active carbons layer .
These filtering face masks moreover satisfy all requirements according to regulations as per EN 149:2001+A1:2009, they guarantee an effective protection against solid and liquid toxic aerosol up to 50 x TLV*. Their use is suggested in sanitary environments to prevent chemical polluting substances in the air.
They protect against aerosol deriving from: lead, cadmium, chrome, nickel, arsenic, beryllium, asbestos fibers, chromic/phosphoric acid, arsenic.
Production system is subject to regular quality checks and manufacturer is certified ISO 9001:2000.

- These filtering face masks do not supply with oxygen
Not to be used in situations as follows:
- Oxygen standard is less than 17%
- polluting substances or their concentration are unknown or immediately dangerous for user health or life
- polluting substances concentration exceeds 50 x TLV*
- in presence of polluting toxic or radioactive substances
- in presence of gas or vapors
- during fire operations
Please leave immediately the working area if (a) breathing becomes difficult, (b) in case of anguish or dizziness. Face mask airtight and protection skills might be compromised if worn by personnel with beard.
Identification and choice of suitable filtering face mask
The choice of the correct face mask model has to be carried out on the base of working place specific needs, working risk type and related environmental conditions.
The responsability for identification and choice of correct/suitable filtering face mask (PPE) is on behalf of employer.
It is than appropriate to verify, before using, the suitability of this face mask style characteristics to own needs.
Preliminary checks and use
Before using, a visual examination of filtering face mask is required to make sure about the integrity and in particolar way that the device is in perfect conditions, clean and whole.
In case the filtering face mask is not intact (visible damages as unstitchings, breakings or marks), it has to be substituted.
Instructions for maintenance and expiration date
Keep filtering face mask not yet used in its original packing, in a dry place and far away from direct heat sources. Do not modify or alter the face mask in any ways. Only disposable. It doesn’t require maintenance. Through away the face mask after single use.
In very hard working conditions or in particular places it is possible that filtering face mask is subject to sudden degradation not expected by manufacturer.

Waste disposal
Disposal has to be effected according to National rules in force.
Incineration or waste disposal in dump have to be carried out under controlled conditions. The product, if not come in contact with any infectious agents or other dangerous materials, does not produce toxic residuals.
